RFRM/OUT studio

About RFRM/OUT

A studio built on intention, not intensity.

We believe movement should be intelligent, considered, and transformative. RFRM/OUT is where modern Pilates meets the quiet luxury of doing less, better.

Our Story

Where it began

RFRM/OUT was born from a simple observation: too many people were moving through the motions — training hard, but not training smart. In 2019, our founder walked into a small Preston studio with a reformer, a mat, and a firm conviction that Pilates deserved a more considered, elevated home.

What started as a single reformer and a handful of private sessions has grown into one of the North West's most respected boutique studios. But our essence hasn't changed. Every class is still intentionally small. Every instructor is still hand-picked for their craft. Every detail — the lighting, the scent, the tempo — is chosen to help you leave better than you arrived.

Today, RFRM/OUT is a space where people come to rebuild strength, restore balance, and rediscover what their body is capable of. Not through punishment. Through precision.

Manifesto

What we believe

We believe the body responds to attention, not aggression.

We believe strength is built in the details — in breath, alignment, and control.

We believe a studio should feel less like a gym and more like a sanctuary.

And we believe that moving well is not a luxury. It's a standard.

Our Values

The four pillars

01

Precision

Every cue, every rep, every correction is intentional. Precision is what turns movement into transformation.

02

Expertise

Our instructors are certified, experienced, and deeply passionate. You're always in capable hands.

03

Sanctuary

A studio should feel like a retreat. Calm lighting, considered design, and a pace that lets you breathe.

04

Progress

Real change is measured in months, not moments. We build sustainable strength for a lifetime of movement.

Studio interior

"Pilates isn't about doing more. It's about doing what matters — with more awareness, more control, and more care."

Today

A studio, refined

Still small by choice. Still obsessed with the details. Still built around you.

The Method

How we work

Our approach blends classical Pilates principles with contemporary movement science. Every session is built around four core practices.

Assess

Before we move, we understand. Postural screening, movement mapping, and a conversation about your goals form the foundation of every journey.

Align

We train alignment before strength. Precise positioning allows the body to move efficiently, reducing strain and unlocking better results.

Strengthen

Progressive resistance, controlled tempo, and mindful breathing build deep, functional strength — not just visible muscle.

Sustain

Real strength lasts. We help you integrate what you learn in the studio into the way you move, stand, and live every day.
